A respected and multi-award-winning Showrunner, Writer and Director, Jean’s body of work includes ‘Last Madame’ – winner of Best Asian Drama at Busan International Film Festival’s Asia Contents Awards in 2020. Recent accolades include eight National Wins at the 2023 Asian Academy Creative Awards, including Best OTT Production and two other wins for ‘Sisters of the Night’ (a prequel to ‘Last Madame’), three wins for ‘Third Rail’, two for ‘Silent Walls’, as well as multiple nominations and wins at New York Festivals TV and Film Awards, International Emmy’s, Seoul International Drama Awards and Asian Television Awards, to name a few. She has worked with Studio Dragon to produce the Singapore leg of K-drama ‘Little Women’ – a highly-rated series on Netflix and tvN. Jean also show-ran ‘Third Rail’ Singapore’s most ambitious hostage thriller drama to date, featuring a 180m tunnel set and two real train carriages. In 2008, Jean wrote and directed ‘The Leap Years’, which still holds the record for the highest box office to date for a locally-produced English film.
Jean is a founding member of AIPRO – the Association of Independent Producers in Singapore.
