James has over 25 years of experience at the BBC, Bloomberg, ITV and now at Lightning International – ranging from on-air presentation, programming and engineering, to production, distribution sales, and marketing – and the creation of TV channels and platforms.
James launched Lightning International in 2011 as a content solutions company to help independent producers distribute their programmes. Working with more than 30 producers, Lightning International offers a catalogue of 5000+ hours of programmes and formats, and represents and creates TV channels including the UK-based documentary streaming service, Docsville.
Docsville is the global streaming destination for quality documentaries including thought-provoking and inspiring films that have been specially-selected for viewers looking to better understand the real issues and key challenges of today. Docsville spans the climate crisis to racism and inequality, real crime and inspiring personal stories across the natural world, global cultures, art and architecture and real adventures.
