(SINGAPORE) May 6,  2021 :  Mr. Saurabh Doshi, Director Entertainment Partnerships, Asia-Pacific for FACEBOOK has accepted the honorary position of Chairperson of Awards for the 2021 edition of the prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards (AAA).

Mr. Doshi takes over the role from industry veteran Mr. Ricky Ow who served from 2018-2020.

“I’d like to extend my personal thanks to Mr. Ow for his marvellous support over these past three years and welcome Mr. Doshi as the new Chairperson of Awards, especially as we explore new, exciting ways to present the 37 competition categories that make up this season” said President Michael McKay.

The Chair of Awards is an independent overseer of the Awards as well as a top-level advisor and key advocate for the AAA’s annual Grand Awards and Gala Final.

“I’m both honoured and excited to Chair this year’s awards” said Mr. Doshi “Last year’s virtual AAA’s were ground-breaking. I loved the quick pivot to virtual and the various innovations, combining technology and state of the art production. Looking forward to the success of this year’s event”. He added.

Mr. Doshi started his career as an investment banker before embarking on a long and distinguished career in media and digital space, across companies like Reliance, Star India and was previously with Viacom18 Group in Mumbai where he was VP and Business Head – Digital and New Media. He joined Facebook in 2014 and is currently Head for Asia-Pacific focussed on Videos, Creators and Media Companies across the Entertainment space, operating out of Facebook’s Regional Headquarter in Singapore.
