Derek Wong is currently Head of Viu Originals, SEA & MEA. He oversees the overall strategic planning and content creation for these regions, which include Viu Original titles for these markets. Derek has over 25 years of television content production experience in both long and short forms and is responsible for some of Asia’s most successful television formats ever produced.
Derek started his production career in the Hong Kong film industry and subsequently moved to the television sector with Hong Kong TVB and STAR TV. He has worked at Sony Pictures Television Networks, Asia and was previously the Vice President & Head of Production and Creative Services for KC Global Media, overseeing all production and creative aspects for the organisation, including original production, on-air promotion, post-production and commercial production services.
