Kherk Ying heads the Intellectual Property & Technology and Dispute Resolution practice groups, with over 30 years of experience in the area of intellectual property (IP), data privacy, cybersecurity, Internet regulatory issues, information technology, corporate compliance and commercial litigation.
Kherk Ying advises and assists clients in technology, know-how and design contracts, computer contracts, distributorships, franchising and licensing, product registration, as well as advertising and media law. She has extensive experience in advising multinational corporations on data protection issues and has assisted companies in developing internal policies and procedures, as well as managing their data protection compliance programmes, conducting data protection training programmes, developing data breach management plan, and dealing with data breaches and cybersecurity incidents.
Kherk Ying is ranked in the first tier of key practitioners by Chambers Asia and Asia Pacific Legal 500 and listed in the ‘Hall of Fame’ for IP by Legal 500 Asia Pacific (2021-2023).
