LOREN ALLRED – VOICE BEHIND GREATEST SHOWMAN’S ‘’NEVER ENOUGH” TO PERFORM AT ASIAN ACADEMY CREATIVE AWARDS 2019
Loren Allred, the actual voice behind the song “Never Enough” from Hugh Jackman Starrer The Greatest Showman, has confirmed she is flying in from New York to perform exclusively at this year’s Asian Academy Creative Awards.
Ms Allred will open the awards Gala Final at Singapore’s historic Victoria Theatre, on Friday, December 6th and it can be confirmed she will indeed perform the original version of “Never Enough”.
In the hit movie, Rebecca Ferguson performs the song brilliantly in her role as the “Swedish Nightingale” Jenny Lind, however, despite studying music in Stockholm the actress wasn’t confident of doing justice to the opera legend. In stepped Loren Allred to provide a spectacular vocal performance.
Miss Allred was originally discovered on The Voice US where she was a member of Adam Levin’s team.
“Singing is my passion but I also have a real love for travel so to go to Singapore for the first time and perform there, I’m beyond excited”. Loren then confided “I’m sneaking in a day or so earlier just so I can truly see some of the country”.
There’s no secret around what Loren will perform but exactly what she will wear is being kept under wraps and won’t be revealed until the big night itself “I want to wear a local designer” she hinted.
Loren will also walk the star-studded E! Live on the Red Carpet which is broadcast into 34 countries across the region. In addition, the Red Carpet and Ceremonies can be seen live on HooQ (Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Singapore), Toggle (Singapore), Danet (Vietnam) and on delay to Ton Ton (Malaysia) and Viu TV (Hong Kong).
The Greatest Showman grossed over $434 million worldwide, stamping it as the fifth-highest grossing live-action musical of all time. The soundtrack was a chart-topper around the world including number one spots in Australia and Japan, not to mention the U.K. (where it held #1 for 11 consecutive weeks) and the USA Billboard charts.
