SINGAPORE September 3rd, 2024:
The Asian Academy of Creative Arts (AACA) has revealed its plans for this year’s awards ceremonies, which have been set down for December 3rd and 4th at Singapore’s historic Capitol Theatre.
The Capitol Theatre has become the new home of the prestigious Asian Academy Creative Awards under a new, multi-year deal with Perennial Holdings.
Forty one awards will be presented across the two ceremonies with the Gala focused on scripted and performance awards.
Although first built in 1929, the theatre boasts an automated rotating seating system, enabling the Grand Awards Ceremony to be staged as a sit-down dinner on Tuesday December 3rd. In a matter of minutes the Capitol can be converted into a raked seating configuration for Wednesday’s Gala Awards Final.
According to AACA CEO Fiona McKay “the Grand Awards dinner will be a three-course dinner with fine wines and a post awards DJ to see out what will be a night of celebration for our industry”.
The luxurious Kempinski Hotel has been appointed as the official caterer for the event, ensuring a high standard dining experience.
“The Gala will have its own exclusive pre-ceremony cocktail event and a by-invitation-only post event party where the emphasis is on Over The Top Glam”.
AACA will also stage the two-daytime National Winners Conference which has become a popular showcase for award winning works and thought leadership from across the region.
THE FANS ARE BACK
“Now that we’re at the Capitol we’ll be opening the balcony seating for fans so they can dress up and come along to support their favourite stars and shows” Fiona announced before adding “we love the atmosphere the fans bring to the event, we’ve missed that in recent years”.
Tickets to the Ceremonies will be released following the announcement of National Winners on 26 September 2024, which will be live stream on AACA official Facebook and You Tube Channel.
