ABS-CBN, the leading media and entertainment network in the Philippines, received country wins in different categories of the first Asian Academy Creative Awards.

The cast of The Greatest Love

“The Greatest Love,” ABS-CBN’s drama series about the undying love and sacrifices of a mother afflicted with Alzheimer’s disease for her children, was named the Philippines’ Best Drama Series, while Maja Salvador, one of the country’s prime actresses was recognized for her acting skills. She was named Best Actress in a Leading Role in the Philippines for her performance in the hit ABS-CBN action-drama “Wildflower.”

The other country winners are Theodore Boborol for Best Direction (Fiction) for his work on the suspense romance series “The Secrets of El Paraiso, (Araw Gabi)” and “Memories, (MMK)” the longest-running drama anthology in the Philippines, which won Best Single Drama or Telemovie.

The Asian Academy Creative Awards was established to serve as the pinnacle of the achievement of the creative industries in content creation and media production in Asia. The inaugural awarding event will happen in December, where country winners will vie for the international awards.
